La Jolla Riford Library

At 25,000 square feet, the La Jolla Riford library features a cozy fireplace, enclosed outdoor reading patio, spacious community room with a piano and art gallery. They always have family-friendly events, from story time, to crafts and movies. It’s a great place to take the kids for a fun-filled afternoon.

La Jolla Cove

View the Sea Lions at the Cove around this rocky shoreline. Launch spot for scuba, snorkel & swimming. Watch the Heermann’s & Western Gulls, Brown Pelicans and Cormorants soaring above or perched on the sandstone cliffs.

Children’s Pool

850 Coast Blvd.

View the Seals at the Children’s Pool and on Casa Beach. Check out the new 4 million dollar lifeguard station. Walk out on the Sea Wall for an even better view. Waves break onto the wall at high tide so watch out.

La Jolla Golf Carts

888 Prospect St.

Call to rent a street legal 4 or 6 passenger golf carts by the hour, day and week. Park your vehicle in a parking garage and take the golf cart from there to beaches, shopping, dining, tourist attractions and more. They deliver to your location in the Village.

Snorkeling

Check out local spots for Snorkeling like the Shores and the Cove. See the famous bright orange Girabaldi fish, Sea Lions, and more!

Kayak the 7 Caves of La Jolla. Explore beautiful sea cliffs and caves as you glide through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve lled with marine life. Reserve early for bike tours, kayak tours and snorkeling adventures in and around San Diego County.

Marine Street Beach

200 Marine St.

Hangout with the locals on this wonderful stretch of sand. Super spot for getting your toes in the water most of the year as lifeguards are their most of the year. Scuba drivers also launch from here to explore the Paci c’s treasures.

Windnsea Beach

6800 Neptune Pl.

Another popular area for locals to hangout throughout the day and especially at sunset. Few beaches in the World provide a more of a picturesque view variety than this coastline. Popular area for local surfers as there are big reef break waves.

The Cave Store

1325 Coast Blvd.

Check-out the steep tunnel with 145 steps to the Sunny Jim Cave at ocean level. It was built in 1902 and 1903 by Chinese laborers. Browse the shop at the entry of the tunnel for some great handmade jewlery and gifts.
